Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea) has tied up with Bajaj Finance to launch a finance offer facilitating easy access to smartphones at affordable EMIs along with 6 months and 1-year pre-paid plans from Vi. The partnership unlocks easy access to 4G for Vi customers by enabling them to get a smartphone of their choice and an annual or half-yearly Vi prepaid recharge plan at zero down payment.
The EMI will be calculated basis the total billed amount including the price of the smartphone and the recharge post which the amount will be divided into 6 to 12 monthly installments to derive the EMI amount.

The finance offer can be accessed in 2392 location operators of Bajaj Finance across the country through the vast Point-of-Sale (PoS) network of 70000+ Vi customers who can walk into any PoS and upgrade their smartphone.
Vi customers can opt for Rs 1197 Vi prepaid plan for 6 months tenure offering 1.5GB high-speed data per day along with unlimited voice calling benefits or go with Rs 2399 Vi prepaid plan for 12 months tenure offering 2GB high-speed data per day along with unlimited voice calling benefits. Both the propositions offer 100 SMS per day and free national roaming along with access to Vi Movies and TV.
The EMI amount for the Vi Rs 1197 prepaid proposition will be Rs 200 instead of Rs 249 open market recharges while for the Vi Rs 2399 prepaid proposition will also be Rs 200 instead of Rs 299 open market recharges.
