Telegram has updated its app to bring new features and enhancements for its users. The update includes infinite reactions, new animated emoji status, improved login flow, user interface improvements, and more. The updated Telegram app is now rolling out to Android and iOS users globally. Here are all the details introduced in the recent update.

Infinite Reactions

All Telegram users now have access to a bunch of reactions, including the ones that were available only for the premium subscribers. The company has also redesigned the reaction panel and made it expandable for easier access. The frequently used reactions will show up at the top.

Further, Telegram Premium users can choose reactions from an unlimited selection of custom emojis, and they can also attach three reactions per message. Currently, these changes to reactions are available in group and 1v1 chats. Group admins can decide whether to enable or disable custom reactions in their groups.

Emoji Statuses

Telegram Premium users can add an animated emoji status beside their name to let everyone know what or how they are doing. However, the custom emoji status will replace the Premium badge in the chat list, profile, and groups. Premium users can set one of seven typical statuses that change color to match different Telegram themes, or they can choose custom emojis. Popular suggestions such as sleeping, traveling, and working will show at the top.

Improved Login Flow

Frequent login and log-out users can now receive the login codes via their email address, sign in with Apple, or sign in with a Google account. The update also brings redesigned user interface and animations for signing up or logging in to the Telegram app on iOS devices.

New Username Links

All Telegram usernames now come with their own t.me/username links, which makes it easier to share the profile, group, or channel on the internet. Every username also has a unique link format – username.t.me.

Prioritize Downloads on Android

Users can manage the actively downloading files via the Downloads tab of Search or by tapping the Downloads icon in the chat list. It is now possible to hold any items in the Downloads list and reorder them or change their priority for downloading the top file first. This feature was already available for iOS users.

Android Goodies
