India’s leading telecom service provider Reliance Jio has streamlined its JioPhone offerings to offer 4 All-in-One plans with the other plans such as JioPhone 99, JioPhone 297, JioPhone 153, and JioPhone 594 delisted from the prepaid listings. OnlyTech understands that these plans have been discontinued last night.
Reliance Jio is now only offering four All-in-One Plans namely JioPhone 75, JioPhone 125, JioPhone 155, and JioPhone 185. The move has come after the scrapping of IUC charges by Reliance Jio post which Reliance Jio’s mobility offerings now offer truly unlimited calling.
For the unversed, prior to the scrapping of IUC charges JioPhone All-in-One plans were offering both off-net and on-net calling and data benefits whereas the other plans which have now been discontinued offered only on-net calling and data benefits with IUC top-ups needed for off-net calling.
JioPhone 75, JioPhone 125, JioPhone 155, and JioPhone 185 all offered 500 mins off-net calling FUP prior to 2021 while also offering 3GB, 14GB, 28GB, and 56GB data benefits respectively spread over 28 days with daily data caps apart from other benefits.
JioPhone 99, JioPhone 297, and JioPhone 594 offered only Jio2Jio unlimited calling along with 0.5GB high-speed data per day apart from other benefits along with 28 days, 84 days, and 168 days validity respectively. JioPhone 153 offered only Jio2Jio unlimited calling along with 1.5GB high-speed data per day apart form other benefits along with 28 days.
The move to again offer truly unlimited calling threw up a spanner with JioPhone 155 offering 1GB high-speed data per day while JioPhone 153 offered 1.5 GB high-speed data per day. JioPhone 99 and JioPhone 125 both offered 14GB high-speed monthly with pretty much the same offerings. These challenges have led to the streamlining of JioPhone offerings with only four All-in-One plans now.
