Last year telecom giant Reliance Jio had announced the video calling feature of Jio set-top boxes, now the accessory required to use this feature is finally launched. Jio Fiber users having Jio STB can buy JioTV Camera accessory from Jio.com for Rs 2,999.
JioTV Camera is a simple plug and play device which doesn’t require any separate installation. Once the USB is plugged in, reboot the set-top box and set up your landline number on the JioCall app by OTP process. This device allows full-screen TV to TV calls, video calls to Jio numbers and audio calls to all mobile and landline numbers.
Jio is also offering EMI options for this accessory to credit cardholders starting at Rs 141.71. Once ordered you will get delivery within 3-5 days, there is also a 7-day replacement window if you receive a defective piece. This accessory comes with a 1-year warranty.
JioTV Camera weighs 93 grams, it has a 1/2.7-inch CMOS sensor with 120-degree Field-of-View and focal length of 3.1mm. It requires 5V USB power supply input voltage and has a power consumption of 1.3 W. Jio has not yet revealed the resolution of this camera.
