The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) yesterday gave its nod to Reliance Jio for a fresh set of ACCESS-MSC code allocation. The allocation came in response to a request from Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. The new set of ACCESS-MSC code has been allocated for Tamil Nadu LSA to Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited.
The new numbering series will allow Reliance Jio to meet one million subscribers demand. Reliance Jio has got 93420-93429 ACCESS-MSC code series allocation from DoT.
According to the DoT circular accessed by OnlyTech, Reliance Jio can use the aforementioned series except for the active subscribers of Reliance Communications and Reliance Telecom and other port out subscribers if any. The allocation of numbering series has been done with the approval of the competent authority.
“In consideration to the request of M/s Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, the undersigned is directed to convey the allotment of MSC codes. The aforementioned Series may be used by TSP except for the active subscribers of M/s Rcom/RTL and other port out subscribers (if any).In case of errors/omissions, if any, the same may be brought to the notice of the undersigned immediately. This is issued with the approval of DDG(AS),” said DoT in a circular.
DoT last month allocated 93290-93299 ACCESS-MSC code to meet one million subscribers demand in Madhya Pradesh to Reliance Jio. DoT last month also allotted Reliance Jio ACCESS-MSC code 78598-78599, 78610, 78618-78620, 78628-78630, 78638 to Reliance Jio for Gujarat LSA.
