The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) last week allocated MSC codes for mobile services to India’s leading telecommunications service provider Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL). The telecom service provider was intimated about the MSC code allocation by the Telecom Department on 5th February 2022.
DoT in consideration to the request of Reliance Jio okayed the allotment of MSC codes for Gujarat LSA. The company has been allocated 92270-92279 ACCESS-MSC code for Gujarat LSA. The allocated ACCESS-MSC code will help Reliance Jio meet the demand of one million subscribers.
The aforementioned ACCESS-MSC code series can be used by Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited except for the ported out subscribers (if any) of Tata Teleservices Limited. The company had recently also bagged MSC codes from DoT Kolkata and Madhya Pradesh LSA.
