Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has launched its first smart TV powered by Amazon Fire OS in India. The Redmi Smart Fire TV 32-inch is priced at Rs 13,999 and will go on sale from March 21, 2023, via the Amazon website and Mi online store in the country.
The Redmi Smart Fire TV 32-inch features an HD-ready (1366 x 768 pixels) LED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 6.5ms response time, and a 178-degree viewing angle. It comes with Vivid Picture Engine for enhanced picture quality. The TV also supports Dolby Audio, DTS-HD, and DTS Virtual:X sound technologies to deliver an immersive audio experience.
The Redmi Smart Fire TV 32-inch runs on the Fire OS 7 out of the box, which is based on Android 9 Pie and offers access to over 12,000 apps and Alexa skills. Users can stream content from popular OTT platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, YouTube, Zee5, Voot, Sony LIV, and more. The TV also supports Apple AirPlay and Miracast to let users view content from their compatible mobile devices on the big screen.
The Redmi Smart Fire TV 32-inch comes with a new Alexa voice remote that has dedicated buttons for Prime Video, Netflix, Amazon Alexa, and Amazon Music. The remote also has a microphone for voice commands and can control other smart home devices with Alexa. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, two HDMI ports (one supports ARC), two USB 2.0 ports, an AV input, an ethernet port, an antenna port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Redmi Smart Fire TV 32-inch is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A35 processor paired with a Mali-450 MP3 GPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage. Further, the TV comes with two 10W speakers. As an introductory offer, the Redmi Smart Fire TV 32-inch will be available at an effective price of Rs 11,999 for a limited time.
