Xiaomi on Thursday has launched another smartphone in the Note 10 series with a MediaTek processor along with the Redmi Watch. The Redmi Note 10S was launched back in November last year in the brand’s home market China and later introduced globally in March 2021.
Specifications
The handset comes with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution, 1,100 nits peak brightness, 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, SGS low blue light certification, 20:9 aspect ratio, 180Hz touch sampling rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is IP53-rated for dust and water resistance.
Under the hood, Note 10S is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, paired with Mail-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. It comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that is expandable up to 512GB via MicroSD card.
The phone has a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 118-degree field of view, a 2MP depth sensor for portraits and a 2MP macro shooter with 2x magnification. On the front, you get a 13MP selfie camera placed in a centred punch-hole.
It runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted, stereo speakers and z-axis linear vibration motor are also present. This handset is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery that has 33W fast charging support which Xiaomi claims can charge up to 54% in 30 minutes and 100% in 78 minutes.
In terms of connectivity, there is Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, IR Blaster and 3.5mm headphone jack while onboard sensors include an infrared sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, 360° ambient light sensor and gyroscope.
Pricing
The Redmi Note 10S will be sold in two storage options: 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB with the former priced at Rs. 14,999 and latter at Rs. 15,999. It will be available in three colours- Deep Sea Blue, Frost White, and Shadow Black. The sale for this model will begin from May 18 at 12 noon via Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and retail stores.
