Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K30 Ultra smartphone in China. The phone comes in Moonlight White, Midnight Black, and Mint Green color option. Redmi K30 Ultra is equipped with dual stereo speakers and three microphones that can capture clear audio from a distance. The phone features Gorilla Glass 5 front and back with an aluminium frame body.

Redmi K30 Ultra specifications

Redmi K30 Ultra features a 6.67-inch (1080 x 2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 1200nit peak brightness. The phone is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ (7nm) chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It runs Android 10 out of the box with MIUI 12 customization on top.

Redmi K30 Ultra comes with a quad rear camera setup of 64 MP f/1.9 primary sensor, 13 MP f/2.4 119-degree ultrawide-angle lens, 5 MP f/2.2 (50mm focal length) macro camera, and 2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. On the front, the phone has a 20 MP motorized pop-up camera. The rear cameras support 4K recording at 30fps, and 1080p recording at 30/60/120/240/960fps, while the front camera supports 1080precording at 30fps and 720p recording at 120fps.

Sensors included are proximity, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, and an optical fingerprint reader located under the display. Connectivity option include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.1 with A2DP/ LE/ aptX HD support, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS/ GALILEO/ BDS/ QZSS, 4G LTE, 5G (NSA+SA), NFC, and a SB Type-C port. The phone comes with a non-removable 4500mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging technology.

Pricing and availability

The Redmi K30 Ultra is priced at CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 21,500) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and CNY 2,199 (around Rs. 23,600) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant cost CNY 2,499 (around Rs. 26,800), while the top variant with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage cost CNY 2,699 (around Rs. 29,000). The smartphone will go on sale on August 14 and will be available to purchase via all major online and offline retail stores in China, including the Mi website.
