Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme on Wednesday launched the Realme Narzo 30A and Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G smartphones in India. Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G is the rebranded Realme Q2 smartphone that was launched in China in October last year. The company has also unveiled the Realme Buds Air 2 true wireless earphones in the country.
Realme Narzo 30A specifications
Realme Narzo 30A features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) waterdrop notch style IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and brightness up to 570 nits. Under the hood, the phone has an octa-core (2 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) SoC paired with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, up to 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 64GB of internal storage. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot (supports up to 256GB) for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, Realme Narzo 30A sports a dual rear camera setup of 13-megapixel f/2.2 primary sensor and 2-megapixel f/2.4 B&W portrait sensor. On the front, it has a single 8-megapixel f/2.0 camera that supports Full-HD video recording at 30fps. The phone comes with a 6000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include a proximity sensor, a magnetometer, an accelerometer, and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The phone measures 164.5 x 75.9 x 9.8 mm and weighs 205 grams.
Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G specifications
Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G features a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core (2 x 2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G (7 nm) chipset paired with Mali-G57 MC3 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It also has a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup of 48-megapixel f/1.8 primary sensor, 8-megapixel f/2.3 ultra-wide-angle lens with 119-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro sensor. The phone is fueled by a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 30W Dart Charge fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, dual 4G VoLTE, 5G SA/ NSA, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include a proximity sensor, a magnetometer, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The phone measures 162.2 x 75.1 x 9.1 mm and weighs 196 grams.
Realme Buds Air 2 specifications
Realme Buds Air 2 features a 10mm diamond-class Hi-Fi Bass boost driver and supports Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. It comes with an upgraded Realme R2 chip and includes Google Fast Pair technology, wear detection, and touch gesture controls. The earbuds are equipped with two microphones for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that helps to suppress the surrounding noise by up to 25dB. It also has a Transparency mode that allows users to listen to the ambient sound with one tap without requiring the need of removing the earphones.
The truly wireless earbuds also have an 88ms low Latency audio mode that reduces the audio delay for gaming. Realme claims that it can offer up to 25-hours of total battery life with ANC turned off and up to 22.5-hours of total battery life with ANC turned on. Further, the earbuds can provide up to five hours of battery life. 10 minutes of charging can provide up to 2 hours of music playback time. Realme Buds Air 2 is rated IPX5 for water resistance.
Lastly, the charging case measures 60.3 x 57 x 24mm and weighs 34.5 grams while a single earbud weighs 4.1 grams.
Pricing and availability
The base variant of Realme Narzo 30A with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage cost Rs. 8,999 while the top variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 9,999. It comes in Laser Black and Laser Blue color options and will be available to purchase via Flipkart, Realme website, and retail stores in India starting March 5, 2021.
On the other hand, the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 19,999. It comes in Sword Black and Blade Silver color options and will go on sale starting March 4, 2020, via Flipkart, the Realme website, and retail stores in the country.
