Poco has launched the affordable Poco C50 smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.52-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, 8-megapixel primary sensor, 5000mAh battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Further, the Poco 50 smartphone runs the Android 12 Go Edition operating system out of the box.

The Poco C50 features a 6.52-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) LCD with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 120 Hz touch sampling rate, and 400 nits of brightness. The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 12nm chipset paired with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU, up to 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 512GB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Poco C50 comes with a dual rear camera setup of an 8-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a depth sensor. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 5-megapixel sensor housed in a waterdrop notch display. The phone is equipped with a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth version 5.0, 4G VoLTE, GPS/ GLONASS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro-USB port for charging and OTG. Sensors include an accelerometer and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 164.9 x 76.75 x 9.09 mm and weighs 192 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Poco C50 is priced at Rs. 6,499 for the 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, while the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model costs Rs. 7,299. It comes in Country Green and Royal Blue color options and will be available to purchase via the e-commerce website Flipkart in the country starting January 10, 2022.
