Nokia is working with Flipkart for the launch and sale of the Nokia Smart TV in India. The company has started sending out invites for the launch event which is set to happen on December 5, 2019. The price of the TV is expected to be around Rs. 40,000.

Even though the official details of the Nokia Smart TV are yet to reveal, it appears that some of the key features are already present in the Flipkart’s television-store web page.

The Nokia Smart TV will feature a 139.7 cm (55 inch) 4K Ultra High-Definition bezel-less display. It will come with the Intelligent Dimming Technology which automatically optimizes the brightness, contrast, and color to keep content sharp and vivid. Along with that, the display will also support Dolby Vision and High Dynamic Range (HDR) 10.

It has a 178-degree wide-angle display, wide color gamut and 100 percent color accuracy. The TV will come with the MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology that ensures a blur-free and smooth viewing experience.

The TV is equipped with bottom-firing speakers along with Dolby Digital and DTS TruSurround sound technologies that deliver high fidelity and clear audio. Clear sound technology reduces the compression of online streaming movies and songs so that the audio is always crisp. It also supports various audio modes such as Drama, Action, Music and High Bass that will allow users to fine-tune the audio. Nokia has teamed up with JBL to enhance audio quality.

The TV will come with a powerful PureX quad-core processor that will optimize the picture quality, 2.25 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Smart TV will run Android Pie (9.0) out of the box. It has a built-in Google Chromecast that will enable users to cast media from smartphones to Nokia Smart TV.

  1. It is not that Nokia is working with Flipkart. It is Flipkart which is manufacturing this tv under the brand name of Nokia as they have the right to use the name of it.
