Motorola has launched the Moto G Play (2023) in the United States. The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ 90Hz refresh rate IPS display, MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, IP52 water-repellent design, 5000mAh battery, triple rear cameras, and runs on Android 12 operating system out of the box.

Moto G Play (2023) features a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 Pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 12nm chipset paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage. The phone also supports microSD cards of up to 512GB for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Moto G Play (2023) sports a triple rear camera setup of a 16-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera on the front. Moto G Play (2023) packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, barometer, ambient light, and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 167.24 x 76.54 x 9.36mm and weighs 203 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Moto G Play (2023) is priced at USD 169.99 (around Rs. 13,980) for the sole 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The phone comes in the Deep Indigo color option and will be available in the US via Best Buy, Amazon website, and Motorola e-store starting January 12, 2023.
