South Korean tech giant LG has unveiled its new LG 11TC50Q Chromebook in the home market. This Chromebook is targeted towards students for online education at an affordable price.
Specifications
The LG 11TC50Q Chromebook features an 11.6-inch HD 360-degree rotatable touch display with 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution. The ability for rotation and touch display allows it to be easily used as a laptop or a tablet. It is IP41 rated for water and dust resistance.
The device is powered by an Intel Celeron N5100 CPU paired with Intel UHD graphics, 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage which is further expandable via a microSD card. LG says that students can use it without worrying about damage as the Chromebook is military-grade certified for better durability.
It has a 1-megapixel front-facing webcam and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera along with an in-built microphone for easy video chats and online classes. The device boots on Google’s Chrome OS that supports applications downloaded from the Chrome Web Store, Google Play Store, and other sources.
There is a 44.5Whr battery that supports 45W fast charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, USB power delivery, and a microSD card slot.
Pricing and Availability
The LG 11TC50Q Chromebook carries a price tag of KRW 690,000 (about Rs. 43,000) and is already available for sale in South Korea via the official online store and other major retailers. It comes only in black colour. LG has not revealed any details about the availability of this Chromebook in India or other global markets.
