JioFiber truly unlimited plans which were recently unveiled after the revamp of existing broadband plans, come with a commercial usage policy (CUP) of 3300GB similar to Tata Sky Broadband. Airtel Xstream Fiber broadband also has a commercial usage policy (CUP) of 3300GB on unlimited plans. JioFiber, however, hasn’t specified the FUP speed post exhaustion of commercial usage policy (CUP).
JioFiber Monthly Truly Unlimited Plans
JioFiber is now offering 7 monthly plans starting at as low as Rs 399 and going up to Rs 8,499. Rs 399, Rs 999, and Rs 1499 broadband plans are the newly introduced ones with Jio discontinuing Rs 849, and Rs 1299 broadband plans. Those on Rs 849 and Rs 1299 plans will be upgraded to Rs 999 and Rs 1499 plans respectively.
The new Bronze plan at Rs 399 offers truly unlimited internet at 30 Mbps and unlimited voice calling benefits with no access to OTT apps subscription. The plan will have commercial usage policy (CUP) at 3300GB limit. The Rs 699 Silver plan offers truly unlimited internet at 100Mbps speed with unlimited voice calling and doesn’t offer any OTT apps subscription.
The Rs 999 Gold plan offers truly unlimited internet at 150Mbps speed with unlimited voice calling. It also offers access to 11 OTT apps (Netflix not included) subscription worth Rs 1,000. The Rs 1499 Diamond plan offers truly unlimited internet up to 4,000 GB at 300Mbps speed with unlimited voice calling. Rs 1499 and above plans offer access to 12 OTT apps subscription namely Netflix (Basic plan), Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar VIP, SonyLIV, ZEE5, Voot, ALTBalaji, Hoichoi, ShemarooMe, Lionsgate Play, JioCinema and JioSaavn.
The Rs 2999 Diamond+ and Rs 3999 Platinum plans now include a subscription to Netflix Standard plan and the Rs 8499 Titanium plan includes a subscription to Netflix Premium plan along with the subscription to the other 11 OTT apps listed above.
JioFiber 30-Day Free Trial
JioFiber is offering a 30-day free trial with two options wherein prospective customers experience JioFiber service before opting for a new connection. Customers can either go for a Rs 2500 one time refundable amount option wherein they will get both WiFi ONT Modem and 4K set-top box or they can go for Rs 1500 one time refundable amount option wherein they will not get the 4K set-top box.
The monthly rental on both the options will be zero for the first 30 days 150Mbps truly unlimited internet with unlimited voice calling. Those opting to have the 4K set-top box on a free trial will get access to 10 OTT apps subscription namely Disney+ Hotstar VIP, JioCinema, ZEE5, SonyLIV, ALTBalaji, Voot, SunNXT, ShemaaroMe, Lionsgate Play, and Hoichoi. JioFiber notes that customers will have to activate Amazon Prime Video and Netflix for the first use in Jio STB.
Till now all operators except BSNL are regional operators. No use of them where they do not provide the service.
