Reliance Jio yesterday has brought back the Rs 98 plan and Rs 149 plan it had discontinued during its price hike, first spotted by OnlyTech.

The 149 plan is listed under the 1 GB/day pack. The packs per day data limit has been reduced from 1.5 GB per day to 1 GB per day. The listing went live early morning yesterday on the website of the telecom service provider.

The plan continues to offer 24 days of validity along with 100 SMS per day. Jio to Jio calling is unlimited while the off-net calling has a FUP of 300 mins. The teleco also offers a complementary subscription to Jio apps.

The Rs 98 plan which had been replaced by Rs 129 plan is also back on the charts. The 98 plan offers Free Jio to Jio calls, Jio to Non-Jio Mobile – 6paisa/min, Unlimited Data (2GB High Speed Data, there after unlimited at 64Kbps), 300SMS and Complimentary Subscription to Jio Apps with 28 days validity.

The 129 plan offers 1000 mins off-net calling extra. The Rs 98 plan went live late-night yesterday on the Jio app. Subscribers will have to buy IUC vouchers to make off-net calls if using the Rs 98 plan.

OnlyTech had earlier last month reported the revision of the Rs 149 plan when Jio had reduced the validity of the plan by 4 days to include 300 mins of bundled off-net calling.

Both Airtel and Vodafone Idea have plans at the same price of Rs 149 which offer truly unlimited calls to any network, 300 SMS and 2 GB data with 28 days validity. Rs 149 plan from Airtel or Voda-Idea is the best option for people who don’t consume much data and use SIM primarily for calling.
