The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in June 2022 granted a new Unified License (UL) to Extreme Infocomm Private Limited vide license number 20-1320/2022-AS-I. The UL granted on 17th June has authorised National Long Distance (NLD) and Internet Service Provider Category A (ISP-A) for the national area.
In April-June 2022 period, the Telecom Department granted a new Unified License or additional authorisation to existing UL for OneWeb India Communications Private Limited, Powergrid Teleservices Limited, OneOTT Intertainment Limited, Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation Limited, and Extreme Infocom Private Limited.
OneWeb India received additional authorisation for GMPCS services to existing UL on 21st April 2022. Powergrid Teleservices received a new UL on 11th May 2022 with ISP-A, NLD and ILD authorisation. OneOTT Intertainment received additional authorisation for NLD services to existing UL on 23rd May 2022. Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation received a new UL on 10th June 2022, with Access Service authorisation for Andhra Pradesh LSA.
In July-September 2022 period, the Telecom Department granted a new UL or additional authorisation to the existing UL for Nelco Limited, Adani Data Networks Limited, and Webex Communications (India) Private Limited.
Nelco Limited received additional authorisation for VSAT and ISP Category ‘A’ services on 26th July 2022. Adani Data Networks received a new UL on 26th August 2022 with NLD, ILD, and ISP-B authorisation. The ISP-B authorisation is for Gujarat LSA. Webex Communications (India) received a new UL on 9th September 2022 with Access Service authorisation for all circles.
