DoT mandates submission of presentations after foreign visits by officers

DoT officers will now have to submit presentation to unit heads after foreign visits.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on 29th July notified that participants would have to submit a presentation after a foreign visit. The International Relations division under DoT has decided that presentations have to be submitted to respective unit heads after the completion of foreign visits by the officers.

“It is decided that after completion of foreign visits, Officer has to give presentation to his respective unit head. This issues with the approval of competent authority,” said DoT in its notice.

DoT officers have undertaken foreign visits to multiple foreign countries in the past few years for various purposes, such as WSIS forum, G2G meetings, ITU-T Study Group meetings, ASEAN-TELESOM-ATRC Joint Working Group meetings, APT Expert Mission, AI for Good Global Summit, ITSO Advisory Committee, RCEP meeting, TSAG meeting, and Japan SAARC network programme among others.
