The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) today notified amendments to the guidelines for Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for promoting Telecom & Networking products manufacturing in India. The notification came in continuation with the Telecom Department’s Memorandum on 3rd June 2021.

DoT has made amendments to the Clauses of Scheme guidelines relating to Global Revenue. Clause 2.15 that earlier read ‘Global Manufacturing Revenue’ and referred to consolidated manufacturing Revenue has now been amended to read ‘Global Revenue’ consisting of consolidated gross revenue.

The word ‘Global Manufacturing Revenue’ has been replaced by ‘Global Revenue’ in Clause 3.2, Clause 3.2.1, Clause 3.2.2, Clause 3.2.3, and Clause 10.3.3 as well. The amendments have been issued with the approval of the Honorable Communications Minister.

Here’s what the text of DoT’s amendment notification reads

2.15 Global Revenue: Consolidated Gross Revenue, both in India and overseas, of the Applicant and its Group Company, in the electronics, IT/ITES including software, telecom and networking segments, for the period of the Base Year i.e. 01.04.2019 to 31.03.2020.

In place of

2.15 Global Manufacturing Revenue: Consolidated Manufacturing Revenue, both in India and overseas, of the Applicant and its Group Companies, in the electronics, telecom and networking segments, for the period of the Base Year i.e. 01.04.2019 to 31.3.2020.

In Clause 3.2, Clause 3.2.1, Clause 3.2.2, Clause 3.2.3 and Clause 10.3.3: The word “Global Manufacturing Revenue” is replaced by “Global Revenue”.
