The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) last month allocated MSC codes to Bharti Airtel for mobile services in Assam LSA in consideration to the request by the telecommunication service provider. The Telecom Department conveyed the allotment of MSC codes to Bharti Airtel for Assam LSA.
Bharti Airtel Limited has been allocated ACCESS-MSC code 93870-93879 for Assam LSA. The ACCESS-MSC code allotted will help Bharti Airtel meet the demand of one million subscribers. The aforementioned series can be used by the telecom service provider except for port out subscribers if any of Reliance Communications and Reliance Telecom.
The Telecom Department last month also transferred/merged VSAT CUG service authorization under Unified License held by Bharti Airtel and the satellite spectrum assets relating to VSAT CUG service authorization and NLD service authorization under Unified License hled by Bharti Airtel to Hughes Communications India Private Limited.
