The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) last month allocated fresh MSC codes to telecom service provider Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited for Kolkata and Madhya Pradesh LSA. The telco was granted the allotment of MSC codes by the Telecom Department in consideration of the request filed.
In the Kolkata service area, Reliance Jio has been allocated the 92300-92309 ACCESS-MSC code to meet the demand of one million subscribers. In the Madhya Pradesh service area, Reliance Jio has been allocated the 92440-92449 ACCESS-MSC code to meet the demand of one million subscribers.
Reliance Jio can use the aforementioned series except for the ported out subscribers (if any) of Tata Teleservices Limited.
The Telecom Department had recently allocated MSC codes to Reliance Jio in four telecom circles namely Odisha, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Assam telecom circles.
