After a huge success and an Oscar win with Soul, Disney and Pixar are bringing their next feature “Luca”, a coming-of-age fantasy comedy directed by Enrico Casarosa featuring the voices of the amazing voice cast of Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, Maya Rudolph, and Jim Gaffigan among others. Set in Italy during the 1950s, the feature follows a young boy Luca and his new best friend Alberto who are both sea monsters, and their adventures on the surface world. The feature is set to premiere on June 18 exclusively for all Disney+ Hotstar Premium Subscribers.
On June 4, the platform is set to premiere Disney’s newest blockbuster, Raya and the Last Dragon just three months after its theatrical debut. The animated fantasy adventure from Disney Animation features the voice cast of Kelly Marie Tran, Awkwafina, Gemma Chan, Sandra Oh, and Alan Tudyk among others. The film set in the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony, and dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity from Druun. It is now up to Raya and her friends to save Kumandra when the evil force Druun returns after 500 years.
The platform is also set to bring the third and the most anticipated series from the Marvel Studios, Loki on June 9. Tom Hiddleston returns as the god of Mischief teaming with Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, and Wunmi Mosaku. The series is directed by Kate Herron of Sex Education fame and is created by Michael Waldron, writer on critically acclaimed adult animated comedy Rick and Morty. That’s not all folks, the platform is set to premiere a young adult series in The Mysterious Benedict Society starring Tony Hale and is about a story of four gifted orphans who are recruited by the peculiar Mr. Benedict, after winning a scholarship competition, for a dangerous mission to save the world from a global crisis known as The Emergency. The series premieres on the platform on June 25.
For the foodies, the platform is set to bring the third season of Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted where he explores the remote locations on Earth in search of culinary inspiration and epic adventures. MasterChef Australia’s newest season will be streamed on weekdays. Billed as a Disney+ Original, Wolfgang explores the life experiences of Wolfgang Puck and premieres on June 25.
From HBO, the streamer is set to bring the returning series, Betty, on June 12 and an extra bonus episode of critically acclaimed true-crime docuseries, I’ll be Gone in the Dark on June 22 which explores the developments in the case after the end of the series. From FX, the streamer set to premiere the most-watched comedy from FX, Dave on June 17 while the critically acclaimed LGBTQ drama Pose comes to an end for good.
