If anyone planning to buy a radio then have a look at this model. It's a 3 band (sw, mw, fm) radio made by Philips. Also explain this to me what is short wave and medium waves with available channel list. Can i catch international channel?

On SW and even on MW you can listen many international radio station, Depending on your location you can get Bangladesh Nepal MW/FM stations.
But reception depends on many factors like Txr power, local interference due to charging devices, TV, Mobile Towers etc. However from evening to morning time is best for radio reception, Winter is also good for radio listing.
If you really want to listen MW/SW station then this radio set is good.
Else look for DAB+-FM radio it's future ready.
But getting it still very tough.

In addition to that some more online channels in the language of the State too available alongwith Podcast channels. Try it.
