After the numerous updates that Twitter has introduced, there may be two more coming your way. The micro blogging website may be working on adding two significant features to the profile of users. Recently noticed were a response-time indicator under the user-bio, and a new Featured Tweet column on some profile pages.

The response indicator is essentially a tool on a user profile that reflects the bracket of time when a user is most responsive to tweets and direct messages. This would either have a manual control so a user could set the bracket to a most suitable time, or it would be automatically calculated by Twitter’s algorithm by analyzing the user’s Twitter habits.
Medium’s Twitter page received this test feature and this is how it looks.

This new feature could be really helpful for brands, publishers and public figures who expect a lot interaction with their followers, because the indication of the response time will give a follower an idea when to expect a reply.

The response time feature is quite similar to the recent feature that Facebook introduced to Pages. After a recent rollout, Facebook Pages indicated how responsive a Page was to user queries and messages. So if any Page had a response time of around 15 minutes and it got back to at least 90 percent of the queries they received, the Page automatically reflects “very responsive to messages” under their profile description.

The other feature that Twitter is close to rolling out is the Featured Tweet. This would be a new section reflecting next to Tweet, Tweets & Replies and Media columns on the top of the profile pages. Users will be able to manage this column with their most important/popular posts. The profile page of IFTTT has received this test feature and below is how it looks.

There is however no update or confirmation from Twitter about these features being rolled out for all and these may just be some test features.
