Three years ago on 3 January 2013, Virender Sehwag played his last ODI in Indian colours. Viru, the Nawab of Najafgarh, played 251 ODI matches scoring 8,273 runs at an average of 35.05 at a strike rate of 104.33.

Quote by Sehwag:- It doesn't matter if you have one billion rupees in your bank account or one rupee. This is one life you get, and you'd rather spend it enjoying whatever you have, rather than thinking, 'Oh, I should have scored seven more runs, or I should get more money.'

Some Quotes On Sehwag By Some Cricket Legends:-

“Sehwag, the greatest slaughterer of bowling since IVA Richards.”
->Former England player DEREK PRINGLE

->Former Chief Selector KIRAN MORE

The 'Monkeygate' Test
..

The New Year's Test in 2008 ended
with the result, 'Australia beat India by
122 runs'. However the result was
merely academical as the cricketing
world bore witness to one of the
ugliest controversies - The
'Monkeygate' scandal. An allegation
that Harbhajan Singh had racially
abused Andrew Symonds
overshadowed Australia's 16th
straight Test win. Harbhajan was
suspended for three Tests but was the
punishment was later reduced to 50%
match-fee fine after reports emerged
that India had threatened to Boycott
the tour. The match also witnessed
several dubious umpiring decisions
with the most critical involving 'Player
of the match', Andrew Symonds, who
had edged an Ishant Sharma delivery
to the keeper, but was declared not-
out by umpire Steve Bucknor. He went
on to make an unbeaten 162 to help
set up the Test match for Australia.

‪#‎Mcgrathfact‬ - If one takes into account all international cricket, then Glenn McGrath is the most prolific fast bowler with 949 wickets. Wasim Akram comes next with 916. In World Cup cricket, he is the most successful bowler with 71 wickets in 39 matches at an average of 18.19

‪#‎warnefact‬ - Once Sourav Ganguly leg patted near half-volleys defensively. Warne walked up to him, pointed at Sachin Tendulkar at the other end and said, “People have come here to watch that man play his strokes, not to see you block.”

SACHIN.R.TENDULKAR hit 148* against Australia at Sydney on 6th January 1992. It was his 2nd test century and 1st against Australia. At the age of 18 he has created a new record of very youngest cricketer to score hundred in overseas :clap:clap:clap. Still many youngest cricketers are trying to mark their landmark in history but can't yet :'(.

Cook inspires historic Ashes win
..

On this day in 2011, England
completed an innings win over
Australia in Sydney, thereby
completing a 3-1 win series win, their
first in Australia after 24 years. The
architect of the win was Alastair Cook
who notched up a fabulous 189 in the
first innings as England, responding to
Australia's 280 all-out, notched up a
mammoth 644. There were centuries
also for Ian Bell and Matt Prior as
Australia bowled 178 overs. In their
second essay, Australia scored one
more than what they achieved in their
first, as Jimmy Anderson added 3 more
wickets to the four he had taken in the
first innings, to condemn the hosts to
an innings and 83 run defeat. Alastair
Cook, who aggregated 766 runs in the
five-match series, was duly named the
player of the match and the series.
