Found this post on reddit where a user highlighted the censorship being done on an episode of HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

This is indirect encouragement to piracy, where you get uncensored content as it is. Why would they do this to paid subscribers as well?

Well Sony which is Japanese company & as i have noticed earlier it has been censoring any indecent thing concerning home country on AXN. This has been happening for as long as i remember. All depends how company wants to deal with such content, not a major issue to be worried about specially if its about trivial things, if centered on pressing topic then we can well understand attempts to cover up.

Also please remember these r 2 rival firms vying for audience in foreign land.... They remain extra cautious to have a nice reputation/image. Disney or any other company will not back attempts by rivals to disregard them

Hotstar is worse these days. Most of the Malayalam shows which are supposed to be available for the VIP/Premium consumers are not available from the morning. And the much-awaited Avengers is showing with just Dolby Stereo, not eve 5.1 Surround. And the picture quality is very bad compared to other OTT's like MX Player or ALT.
