I got HDR at 4k60 now (but Dolby Vision still shows unsupported)
@Nilu334 bro you can also try this(if you haven't got any success yet)
Whenever I was changing to 4k60, color format was changing to 4.2.0 8-bit automatically which I never noticed.

HDR formats support 10-bit or above.
When I changed 10 bit or above in settings, it gave HDR at 4k60.
(Apple TV 4k box and other device has either settings for Adaptive or Auto change to Content's Dynamic Range and color format)

Yes that is why I asked, but general rule is that game mode provides more speed, but may compromise on pic quality. Since I also did not see any difference at all, I left it on. If anything noticed in long run, will update here.
Yes even I left it ON.. wonder what difference (may be high refresh rate at lower resolution) in games, it would make due to its low specs

Yes getting 5.1 always(verified in AV receiver)
But even I tried 4.4.4 8bit, never got HDR at 4k60.
Once you get time, just recheck, if you are getting HDR at 4k60 with 4.4.4 8bit

Yes but pic quality is not same everywhere. It depends on input content. At some places, it is jaw dropping but on some places it is good not excellent. That is why I was wondering if turning game mode off will do the trick as we are not going to play games on it anyway!! Overall, I am finding better pic quality compared normal fire tv stick. Again still google tv is developing, futures updates will be important.

BTW I have checked same content in Game mode off and on...Also compared same content from Netflix same picture setting same HDMI port connecting FTS 4K and Resume stick...
For me I got Better Picture quality in FTS 4K..Can't say in Normal Firetv stick as I didn't used..
Still live cricket is better quality in Real me stick...
Anyway these depends on personal likings and comfort zone...

Instead of or with 'Always HDR' option, Google TV definitely needs 'Adaptive' or 'Match Content's Dynamic Range and Color Format' options
dont want to see SDR content or Home Screen and Menus converted to HDR, looks very artificial

Enabled Developer option also, didn't find any relevant settings of interest. All default settings found on any Android phone

Actually, many of this is related to google tv software, as I think hardware wise, this stick is very good and very capable. Google tv needs improvements and I am sure with time, it will get near perfect as they are working on it as we know their record. For me at some content, it is far better than fire tv normal and fire tv 4K old as it has better balanced sharpness and color reproduction with brighter pic but at the same time, at some places, fire tv 4k is better. So again, google tv needs further updates. So let us wait for some time!!
