Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased the Acer Super Series 55" QLED 4K Smart Google TV and wanted to share my honest experience after using it for a few months. Initially, I was quite impressed with the design, the QLED display, and especially the audio quality - the sound is truly amazing, like a mini home theatre.
But unfortunately, after just three months of use, things started to go wrong...

Why I Bought It
I picked this TV up in March 2025 because I was drawn by its sleek design, vibrant QLED screen, and the promise of top-tier audio from the spec sheet. In fact, the 80W Pro speakers with Giga Bass and Dolby Atmos really lived up to the hype - the sound is deep, dynamic, and theatre-like. That was honestly one of the highlights of my experience.

What Went Wrong
Everything seemed great until June 2025, just three months later. After a routine software update, the whole experience took a nosedive. The screen started freezing, video playback glitching, and even the remote stopped responding properly. It’s incredibly frustrating when a device works well for a while and then becomes unreliable so quickly.

Customer Support Disappointment
Trying to get help was another let down. My requests for support were either delayed or ignored, and no one ever arrived within the time I was available. Despite reaching out multiple times, there was no meaningful resolution. That added to my frustration because for a TV this expensive, I expect at least some effort from the brand after purchase.

A Genuine Concern
My biggest worry now is: If it can fail within six months, what happens after a year or two? A TV isn't a short-term device - it’s meant to last. If problems emerge so early, it feels risky to rely on it going forward.

I reported the issue multiple times, but the engineers either didn’t come or ignored my availability. The overall support has been very poor, and after so much follow-up, I had no choice but to file a formal complaint on the Consumer Helpline.

As you said TV is a long term purchase. Don't buy companies from cheap company. Also it's recommended to get extended warranty. Our both MI TV 55 inch and MI TV 32 inch ones works fine till date. I only dropped and ruined the remote last year. Otherwise zero issues till date.

I agree with you. I actually purchased this TV because Acer has been doing a very good job in laptops - I’ve been using Acer laptops for the last few years without any issues, so I trusted the brand for a TV as well. Unfortunately, my experience with their TV has been very different.

Coming here to congratulate you but sadly you are facing issues. My Acer 32 Android TV superb fine. I guess because of very less requirement I need.

Is this real QLED or just a badging?
I saw in some you tube videos that OEM like Samsung LG and Sony are only giving the QLED. All the other brands are produced in same factory with just badging of brand and QLED.

I too have the 43 inch version purchased last year right after launch. I am not having all the issues which you've pointed out but since the last update my TV turns on automatically at night 😅😂. Maybe it's because it's connected via LAN? But it never happened before the software update. Another thing is my Google assistant button isn't working via the remote, works through Google home app and finally it's lagging now. Also, the new volume slider looks ugly. Rest everything is fine. Let's see how it goes, waiting for next update to fix all of it. The sound quality is awesome 🤩.

It’s just QLED badging, but Acer’s screen is much better in this price range. I compared it with Mi and other low-brand TVs, and found Acer’s picture quality and colors to be superior.
