I have Acer 32 inch LED TV and it is working great since last one year..... I would say that when buying smart TV always opt for a more established brand rather than new brands reason being that Smart TV's require more sophisticated machinery and I always have a viewpoint that it's costing would be a lot more if good quality parts r used which will lead to a better user experience..... For Non Smart TV's it's okay to buy from reputed companies even if they r newcomers in TV segment as still chances of part failure would be far less than incase of a Smart TV...... Still always thoroughly read the reviews on various websites + google, go thru specifications and make a decision based on price + reviews (filter the genuine ones) + after sales support + company profile of manufacturer as many times certain companies whose branding one sees on TV is well known but it's manufacturing is outsourced to a another company .

TVs in general have become hit and miss. Even branded ones can go bust anytime. My uncle has lost two Samsung TVs from lightning. These were expensive model. I suggest to go for local brand as our state is prone to rains. He bought a 32 inch BPL TV for his bedroom in 2018. And some local company's 43 inch TV in 2021. Both are working without any issue.

Buddy plz read my post again.... I said for Smart TV always go for more established brand do that even if there is a fault it can get repaired easily and secondly if u opt for a 32 inch Smart TV from a reputed brand like Sony then there is high chance that parts installed in it will be of more better quality than say a 32 inch Smart TV from a company which is selling it at half its cost..... What I wanted to state is that for Smart TV always opt for quality even if pricing is little bit high.... For regular TV u can opt for any brand which offers good specifications and pricing, still one needs to carefully read information as about each part installed in it and not just decide based on pricing

Update – Good News!

After raising a complaint on the consumer helpline, Acer TV (Indkal) agreed to take back the TV and process a refund.
I’ve received the refund and have now ordered the LG entry-level TV 55UAR82006LA.
I’ll share my review once the LG TV is installed.

I agree with you. I actually purchased this TV because Acer has been doing a very good job in laptops - I’ve been using Acer laptops for the last few years without any issues, so I trusted the brand for a TV as well. Unfortunately, my experience with their TV has been very different.
I have said this many times in the forum. Acer branded products are just OEM products with Acer branding. These are mass imported from China. They have just acquired the brading rights to use the name "Acer".
If you want actual Acer TVs, you can find those under the "Acerpure" branding.

In simple words,
Acer TVs ≠ Acer
Acerpure TVs = Acer

Also it's recommended to get extended warranty.
Right. I have been recommending it to all my friends and family. Get the maximum extension available.
