And people here r telling that jio has aquired lco and mso to provide tv service..and they say that this set top is discontinued..people will get blue colored set top box which will work via coaxial cable..and they say jio wont provide iptv service..but this video set top box channel epg date shows 1sep 2019..!!!

Well, it's so confusing right now. Is it gonna be internet over coaxial for locations where there's no fiber as of now? Since that Jio modem only takes fiber connection as input, i hardly believe that's the case here. Or Jio may suggest LCO to upgrade their network with overhead fiber line, and that's how they might achieve their "last mile connectivity". It's all hypothetical atm.

After I went through the discussion and sample video of the JIO STB, I have a question that, will the Jio TV will have all the HD channels with Dolby Audio? Since the Airtel Xtream has come with an STB which has Dolby Audio, I expect the same from JIO as well. Otherwise, what's the use of having HD channels?

Any thoughts?

There is no delay in changing channel as well as the UI is similar to airtel and Tatasky.

There are so many jio related threads so its really confusing where to post so i am posting in all

Just wanted to know what type of internet service is going to provide BY reliance ..Also with 5 sept begin tomorrow there is no clarification or adv or hype by reliance (isnt that strange??)...

IS reliance going to provide internet over through fiber or through coaxial cable (till home)???? If its coaxial then what use....

Second what type of services they are going to provide regarding cable tv .. Would be like normal cable tv one provide by local or would be like its app/IPTV where for eg one can even watch 8.30 serials at 10.00 pm
