OTF Exclusive Reliance Jio Fiber Set-top box (Cable TV) Pictures - First on Net

All are being provided by Jio itself. DEN/Hathway/GTPL are Jio owned companies. LCO is needed as they have the last mile connectivity.

Another issue is which @Esmail spoke of in this article is that "It is worth noting that earlier Jio had plans of launching Tv services as IPTv riding on its own fiber internet service through the Jio Tv app installed in its Android based STB. Later Jio faced severe resistance from local cable operators (LCOs) who would lose their livelihood as people would disconnect cable connections and move to Jio's IPTv service. LCOs could indulge in fiber cutting and damage Jio's infrastructure in order to safeguard their business. As a solution to this problem, Jio earlier this year bought majority stakes in Hathway, GTPL and Den which are major Multi System Operators (MSOs)."
Thats actually a big risk. ACT started providing IPTV though Act Stream 4K box and they have been at loggerheads with local broadband people from a long time now. Lets see how LCOs take this

Actually, IP TV will not succeed on large scale basis (all India). Airtel already discontinued previously.
Even in AP fiber HD channels PQ not so good as DTH HD for the large screen TVs.

Tell me one thing.jio tv app will be there inside set top box or not?and here m seeing 2 re being mentioned with jeet hd chaneel.so it means trai rule is applicable here since it is from jio.but what about those who will opt for jio fiber plans? Will they get tv live tv service or not and most important.will they need to pay seperately for channels or trai rule wont be applicable for jio tv app which they will use from jio set top box via jio fiber connection!!

TV watching will be only from local cable operators. Jio App in the STB will take u directly to Live TV channels offered by LCO. Those opting for Fiber plans will get only data, if they want TV channels they have to opt for LCO cable services linked to Jio. IPTV is not there as Jio made it clear in AGM that they have collaborations with LCO

And
Ohh.then what about the jio set top box video which is there in youtube uploaded recently in malayalam language.that set top box has jio tv installed and when she clicked on jio tv app,it directly opened live tv channels with jio tv logo.also there was no mention of any price for any specific channel as well..

That is i guess old model STB which was never launched. Lets see what happens in coming days. If u have seen the AGM on 12th Aug. Ambani made it clear that TV channels will be made available from their partner LCO's. No one spoke anything on Jio TV app.

I guess things will be this way.those who want to watch only live tv ,they will get that via lco coaxial cable.and since it will be from lco,so trai rules will be applicable there..and those who want to have internet ,then they can choose fiber service ,through fiber service then they would be able to watch all live tv channels via jio tv app which would be like a triple pay plan.if u closely have watched that malayalam video then the tv channel date shows 18 aug .so it is very recent only..and she said that her husband is in jio and also in the video we could see jio web cam with jio logo.so i guess those who opt for fiber service, they will get internet+landline+iptv service..

The video may be recent but the set top box is the old model. Jio wouldn't have bought stake in MSOs if it planned to launch IPTV service which competes with the MSOs. The old model which didn't make it to commercial launch will still keep working for sometime. Jio fiber test users who had the jio tv app side loaded in their smart TV by jio technicians have reported that the app doesn't work anymore. Jio tv app will remain restricted to small screen Android devices like smartphone.
