Why are you doubting what is there on Jio’s website? LMAO.

It’s might not have been deployed yet or it might have been deployed at extremely limited places because no phone with n258 band is selling in India as of today. Only iPhone 13 and 14 series US models have support and maybe few US based Samsungs. Hardly anyone with iPhone has got invited to 5G Trial. I won’t know speeds unless I get invited either.

Pretty sure Jio won’t launch n258 exclusively for fixed wireless access. It might eat into their FTTH business if they price it cheap. n258 is really needed in crowded places like stadiums, train stations, festival sites. Right now their 4G is practically useless (0.1 Mbps - 2 Mbps) if you are in a crowded area or in a big traffic jam.
Because it has no business case if they deploy. Only US iPhones have it. Indians versions doesnt support it. Android nothing. As far as next years, Android flagships, they doesn't have it either. Who will use it?

It's not happening. Despite of all this. Google Pixel 7 Indian version has disabled mmWave as compared to US version. S24 will have if you say whatever is law is implemented. Even One Plus phones don't have support in US for mmWave. Supports all other bands. 4G and 5G working in India as well. Firmware locked though.

Today I just got jio 5G welcome offer in my phone (redmi 115G). I selected 5G as preferable mode and you go!!

I am using 5G service for the last 2 hours now and max speed I have seen is 790 mpbs, but mostly, it is around 650 mpbs. It is all unlimited under trial period. We just need to recharge minimum by 239 plan to get it provided u have a 5g phone. No need to change sim by the way. Even if they can provide at least 250 to 500 mpbs after commercial launch on a consistent basis, it will be a huge success. So, let us keep our fingers crossed!!

Following on the above, one thing I felt that they are providing true speeds only on mobile, but if u will try to use ur phone as hotspot, then speed goes down drastically and also start throwing errors. It looks like under free trial they do not want us to encourage use mobile as hotspot as jio fiber may get affected.. let us see ..
