Airtel needs to invest money for fiber backhaul to carter the 5G data demand. Despite having good amount of spectrum in B1/3/8/40 experience is average without high capacity backhaul. They have very limited sites with fiber backhaul. While Jio has fiber for almost all sites.
if jio is having fiber in almost all the sites and still unable to get high speeds :D
on jio i am getting like 50-60 mbps speed on 5G with so called SA and on airtel i am getting 500-600 mbps speed with NSA lol

both towers are at similar locations and still jio struggles.

It depends on the location as well, in one location Jio might be heavily loaded and vice versa with airtel. It's mostly asymmetric traffic - either one network will be heavily loaded always

Even with 1G backhaul Airtel is average in Chennai due to load. Just 20Mbps in full signal in congested area

I agree Airtel 4G or 5G both are getting too much slower than previous year. Some of old smartphones didn't get enough signal bar i had noticed, as Airtel slowly downgrades signal bands in most of the area's for better 5G coverage. This is not true , both are working slower also they are capped 300 GB per 5G Unlimited month data on 2GB / 3GB per day charges as mentioned.
