Even I got this not sure whether we will be getting Netflix or not with the upgrade from Gold to Diamond plan.
There is no Netflix or any new OTT app to be given for existing customers. The existing customers will be getting only Unlimited data and higher speed which is quite disappointing though the way they are just giving partial benefits even after upgrading. I haven't heard of giving partial benefits after an upgrade anywhere else.

As a backup for my existing Airtel Xstream fiber, I've applied for Jio Fiber 699 plan today without STB by paying 1500 as security deposit. If I need STB, then it becomes 2500. Actually I wanted to go for 399 plan. But the representative asked to to go for 699 and downgrade to 399 after a month.

Now, since its 30 days free trial offer, I'll be charged only from 31st day. I've few questions here.

1)Is the router only option without STB valid for only 399 and 699 plans. Can't we get only router for 999 and above plans.
2) If I upgrade after 30 days, say to 999 Plan, will I be forced to pay extra 1000 for STB and I'll be given a stb or can I continue without STB and without paying extra 1000.

Hope I'm clear. Thanks in advance.

You are lucky to have feasibility of both Airtel Xstream Fiber and Jio Fiber at your locality. Here Jio Fiber alone taking years to arrive, though they began it's operations city-wide since the AGM.

is anyone facing the heat from local ISPs? I heard from my friend that in some areas they are deliberately cutting the connection wires of ACT, Jio and Airtel. What to do in such cases?

Guys, any update on the above two questions.

For existing customers the STB was given for free. I got it for free.

I'm talking about the security deposit. I guess you should have paid 2500 (1500+1000) as security deposit and got router and stb.

I paid only 1500 as security deposit and will be getting just a router and not stb as I've opted for 699 plan. If I upgrade later to any plan from 999 and above, will they be asking 1000 extra as security deposit for stb or can I continue without STB in 999 Plan as per its plan speed with out stb and OTT. Hope I'm clear.

Even I'm talking about the same, i got Jio like when it was in the testing phase. During that time there was no talk about STB. So seeing the amount I paid it sounds like the STB was given to us for free.
We were never informed anything about JIO stb while getting the Jio fiber connection initially.
