As per rear picture of the box, it has only 3.5mm audio out port but no coaxial or optical ports. It is a great disappointment for those who want 5.1 ch surround sound.
5.1 channel is possible through HDMI. No support for analog/RCA 5.1 channel. If your soundbar has 5.1 passthrough or TV has ARC support for 5.1 then you can enjoy it.

Then why is the Jio TV app not available in the above stb ??? When all other apps are available.
Remote has numbers on it. Cable IN port is missing. If they don't have plans to include Jio TV at a later time, the remote didn't need numbers. Only Jio knows what they are up to and they aren't spilling anything.

Hmm. Agreed. Let's see what they do. May be numbers can be used for interactive service??? Let's see what future plans they have

Yes, it is possible when there is an additional HDMI port because TV needs one HDMI port to connect with.

Most STBs don't include optical port these days. The expectation is that the TV has an HDMI ARC port. So one has to connect STB to TV via normal HDMI port and TV to HT via HDMI ARC port.

If one has a home theater receiver, that will have multiple HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. So we can connect from STB to HT and then HT to TV. An example of such home theater is Sony HT IV300.

A direct optical port is definitely advantageous because it is easy to connect and an addirional option to ARC. Most of android STBs are coming with optical ports including recently launched Airtel and Dish TV Android boxes. How JIO people missed it.
