I agree. But Jio TV uses much more data while giving bad quality image. Use Saavn and JioSaavn apps. See the data usage difference in both.

That's because jio has started to push out more ads after merging.. Nothing related to how jiotv streams compares to others like Sony LIV and Zee 5.

This Price Hike wont be a BIG problem for ppl Who needs more data and Have already Unlimited Broadband at HOME.
But This will affect badly to those users who dont have Any other option and totally depending on Mobile data for INTERNET.
And in india Broadband is still not widely available ..n mostly Broadband is limited to mainly Urban areas ..So Its not like all ppl can have Broadband Connection now as Mobile data becomes costly. My town is close to city limit still Not even bsnl provides Broadband here. so its not completely True that Now after this Hike now Broadband users will increase. No not at all.

I highly doubt whether 10% users will move to broadband because of price. They were sticking to mobile data because it's cheap. It's still cheap even after hike.

But what abt those Areas/location where Broadband connection/service is still Not available..and Only option for Internet is Mobile data...What will Ppl do there.
In my Town/Area still no any broadband provider Available..Not even GTPL or even BSNL.. No one ready to provide Connection.. I m completely dependent on Mobile data for using Internet on both pc n mobile..
so What would ppl like me do now..

Broadband is even reaching to villages these days, fiber broadband i mean. Copper cable broadband are no longer being deployed. It is not the whole India scenario what you mentioned. Things have been changed vastly. Many small cities are covered with fiber broadband as ISPs making their broadband available and managed by LCOs.

I agree with you. But Broadband is not as cheap everywhere as in the major cities. In some places Broadband Providers are looting people as there is no competition. Check some of these.

Here in Guwahati there are no good Broadband Provider. The Providers which are present here, are charging ridiculous amount and looting people.
Just look at some of these rates:

and these are excluding taxes.. think of the rates after including taxes... and these are one of the better ones out here

And they don't even provide good service. Customers need to call them every other day because the Internet is down and many other issues.

For those blaming Jio and Government for prices hike, India has the cheapest mobile data prices in the whole world all thanks to Jio for that. Maybe you guys deserve 1gb at ₹250 calling charges extra.

I used to spend ₹675 for 1mbps(fup15gb) broadband connection before Jio, now I spend ₹353 for 4mbps unlimited+free local calls, that's also because of jio

Bro it's simple logic..in small countries data prices ll be definitely high where as in big countries like india, russia,china data prices ll be low as compare to small countries due to various factors
