Minimum plan for 28 days cost is more than 100+ in Jio where it's only 49 in AirTel (& maybe in Vodafone also)...Almost no data in the 49/- plan though...

Thats why, they are facing losses! for smart phone users min.100 and for feature phone users min.49 charge per month can sustain them.

Exactly...Jio should have two plans...

Plan A with 2 GB data@100 for 28 days & also a Plan B with less data or no data @49 for 28 Days...

Old people who uses old phones & doesn't have any necessity for data, this 100+ plan is useless for them because this 2GB data means nothing to them...And there are many people like them who never come online...My mom is also an example of such people...So, Jio is definitely not for them as they need only the basic calling facilities at the cheapest price possible...

I used to do 24 recharge for my additional numbers to keep the incoming active...I will now have to recharge 49 for each of those additional numbers now too...For people who have like 4-5 Jio numbers in their families will have much problem because they will have to recharge this 100+ amount on all the numbers...

Why to use 2 sims after plan hikes by telcos? Jio phone has still Rs.75 with 500 off-net minutes for calling only plan.

If you are using airtel then you can recharge with 23₹.
This recharge is still available on airtel.

If they are entertain 4G /smart phone users with such low recharges, then their ARPU cannot increase in future.

There is ₹48 plan which offers 3 gb data for 28 days with data roll over facility if recharged before expiration. Use apps for calling and rely on wifi for entertainment. I used this for over 3 months.

All of my numbers are more than 15 years old...My main AirTel number being almost 20 years old...I can't discontinue these numbers now as they are being used in various places...Like AirTel in all the banks, Vodafone number is with my customers, BSNL number (which I ported from AirTel because of the cheap recharge amounts) is with my relatives etc...I know maybe it doesn't make sense to you but since I am using these numbers from more than a dozen years, I can't close any of them...

My main number is AirTel & it's also linked with all my banks, sites etc & I need to do a little bit calling also sometimes to banks, various customer care departments etc so 23 plan is not for me as it doesn't provide any talktime...I am not sure if Vodafone's 24 plan is still there or not...I need to check that...I can use the 24 plan on Vodafone if it still exists as I use Vodafone for incoming only...
