Do you support the price hike by telecom operators?

Shares of telecom operators Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India rose on Tuesday after both the firms announced intent to hike plans. Bharti Airtel rose as much as 5.2 percent to Rs 430.80 per share on the BSE, while Vodafone Idea surged 10 percent to Rs 4.9 per share.

Telecom tariff hike: Vodafone Idea surges 10%, Bharti Airtel up 4%; brokerages bullish on Airtel
Vodafone-Idea (NSE) is up around 28% currently, Airtel has crossing 431 (Man, airtel stocks are on fire lately).

MNP is becoming meaningless. To where we jump? Choices are throttled. Vodafone, Idea and Airtel - similar tariff. Then comes Jio. Many people had ported out from Jio recently due to miscellaneous reasons. So how they go back to Jio? Remaining one is BSNL. After sometime situation there also become same. Better to stay on networks which gives good coverage and service (or any criteria by ours).
In reality Porting means 'go back to your old operator'.

Under current norms, a subscriber must stay with one operator for at least 90 days before switching to another. That means one who Ported Out of Jio recently because of 6p/min IUC charges has to wait for 90 days to switch back to Jio

I just meant porting based on tariff is meaningless in the current scenario. There is 5 telecom brands in India. But based on tariff there is only 3. Vod-Idea-Airtel, Jio and BSNL. Very congested choices.

I don't support price hike plus I don't want to port out to BSNL (there is no other option as I have idea sim in 2g phone)
So, what option should I select in poll?

Damn majority of the people here are supporting price hike. Extremely strange phenomenon.
Do you feel current tariffs are sustainable in the long run for a healthy Telecom sector? Price hikes are inevitable and everyone knew the discount party will end one day and it is happening now. Initially ppl had two choices, good quality network with high tariff or poor quality network with low tariff. Now there is just one option of good quality network with moderate tariff which is gradually increasing. So going forward ppl will have to let go of multiple sims and use single number for all purposes.

The poll options should be as per my opinion

Yes
No
Will continue
Port out to Jio
Port out to BSNL
For that the question needs to be will you continue with Airtel/Voda Idea after the tariff hike?
1) Yes will continue with Airtel/Vodafone Idea
2) No will port out to Jio
3) No will port out to BSNL
4) I don't use Airtel or Vodafone Idea.
