Jio, BSNL, Vodafone Idea and Airtel increasing tariff from 1st December

This price hike was inevitable. AVoId were always following Jio. Their main pain point was Jio's tariff, and they tried to match it, suffering huge losses. Now that Jio has hiked (introduced IUC), now even AVoId will look at hiking the prices.

Given that the revised rates come into effect on 01-Dec-2019, the best option now would be to do a 365-day recharge worth Rs 1,699/- which provides 1.4GB/day. Reminds me of the old times in 2002-2003 when we used to do Yearly Recharge to get full talktime, or sometimes even more!

Price increase may be@10% and If IUC will be zero, then increase might be @15%. Jio already increased from Rs.399 to Rs.444 @11% and from Rs.199 to Rs.222 @11.5%.

What impact is this gonna have on Broadband/Fiber/FTTH ? Almost everyone is criticizing Jio Fiber Plans, now I think Jio is gonna indirectly force every broadband/ftth/fiber company to increase its rates accordingly

I think they will realized that TRAI may announce as IUC will be zero by Nov end after open house discussion on 15th Nov.
