I think Mota bhai settles disputes with Chota bhai before the day of spectrum auctions and enters in to Infotel. All were surprising that small company Infotel won the pan India spectrum against big giants like Airtel on that day.
Mukesh and Anil Ambani had agreed not to enter to any of competing business so he used proxy to get the spectrum, soon when RIL acquired infotek and thier non competing agreement was taken off after mutual consent, also infotel was not 15 lakh company, HFCL was in to telecom business for many years but always notoriously famous of scams and cheating

Infotel was backed by HFCL group, manufacturer and supplier of fibre to BSNL and other telcos
How did they have authority to be in a spectrum without having the required capital?

They had the capital, they were one of the biggest fiber optic manufacturer those days and note that this particular auction was only for BWA meant for broadband services, not for voice. Later unified licence fee regime came and rest is the history

Infotel was a small ISP on those days and they may approach for wireless spectum for expansion.
We can ask DOT for requirements of a company, who can participant in Spectrum auctions through RTI.

I recall people were paying 250 for 1 or 2 GB data per month, then comes the day when we used to get 1 or 2 GB per day.
With price hikes chances are that it "may" impact OTT platforms, but then there will be people who will use wifi instead of LTE... oh we already have mota bhai in wifi(broadband) along with other providers.. so will that compensate ?
