Actually that may work, shift the traffic from mobile to broadband to improve the situation.I recall people were paying 250 for 1 or 2 GB data per month, then comes the day when we used to get 1 or 2 GB per day.
With price hikes chances are that it "may" impact OTT platforms, but then there will be people who will use wifi instead of LTE... oh we already have mota bhai in wifi(broadband) along with other providers.. so will that compensate ?
You mean NCF (in Cable/DTH) can be implement in Telecom? In China government owns all the land, you cannot permanently buy it. So this can be an inspiration for Telecom sector in India. Give mobile numbers, dth, fiber broadband connections on rent. You shouldn't be able to buy it forever, 100 rupees per month for sim card, 200 rupees per month for dth, 300 rupees per month for fiber. Voice, Channels, Data can be charged separately aside from monthly rent. This will ensure high quality service for everyone
This is India, with 5% GDP, facing major economic crisis and ranked even below Pakistan, Sri Lanka in Global Hunger Index, better not to compare it with China which don't have Democracy. We all are already paying our taxes and that's sufficient no need to put useless NCF like charge in every sector. Such high charge of basic amenities like phone is illogical. In China government owns all the land, you cannot permanently buy it. So this can be an inspiration for Telecom sector in India.
