I hope football broadcast will not suffer in a bid to recover the money invested in IPL. Star Sports Select were premium channels for international sports, but they have started encroaching them with cricket.

They would go with SS1 for IPL. They will have SS2, SSS1, SSS2 for other events. SSF may also broadcast IPL in Hindi.

Bundesliga has much hotter and younger talents than EPL. EPL is all about speed and money. Also, EPL is marketed well both by Star Sports and EPL all around the world.

Sony has the maximum number of football properties than Star. They need to exploit them to maximise revenues and viewership. 2 channels dedicated to wrestling and MMA is just waste of resources.
