Going by current Prime model. Amazon wouldn't even be able to break even. Their shopping season starts at October. Acquiring customers to stream matches that streams in April is far fetched investment. Unless they seperate their shopping business from streaming business which is unlikely from happening. Right now I do not see rights being sold close to ₹60,000 crs with Star and Viacom being only contenders.

Zee will also pull out on bidding day...then essentially competition between star sony and viacom......now it's clear single broadcaster will win both tv and digital rights
Yeah, they should just give it to him. Disney doesn't even need IPL. Money can be utilised to produce big budget movies and strong streaming content. We talk about and streaming OTT content all year long. IPL is a temporary replacement. They don't need it.
Zee weren't even in the race. Meanwhile why isn't the audio rights sold? Someone like Times can benefit by putting the commentary on CricBuzz and Radio Mirchi.
