Without Sony. Streaming rights will go to Amazon and Viacom will pick the tv rights. Good for both. Viacom can grow their TV network and Amazon has the tech and infrastructure to handle 4K streaming. Star will then become aggressive with overseas rights of cricket along with ICC rights. Sony can bank on BCCI rights along with Premier League rights if the want. It's gonna be a healthy competition. Viacom needs IPL.

I doubt Amazon may go too commercial (pay per match), if they wins.

Your assumption is completely wrong. They have sporting content in other countries too. They are not charging pay per view money. Pay per view model wouldn't work for 90 matches, lol. It's meant for one off sporting events like boxing and MMA. In future Prime Video might be a whole different business of Amazon. They would try to make money off the streaming platform instead of trying to grab new customers for shopping.
