Nothing like that. It is just because too much cricket and their fav. teams are not doing well.

People have also other things to do rather than watching IPL.
IPL is being played at evening not in morning or day time.. N ppl do watching it on Ott Yday SRH v GT had peak views abt 7 million ..but yes MI CSK has the biggest fan base of IPL so obviously bad performance of TOP two IPL champion teams also affecting IPL tv ratings.

Triplecom Media iTap Founder & CEO Kunal Dasgupta also believes that the value of the IPL media rights will not see any dent due to a drop in viewership. He believes that the IPL digital rights will see a lot of interest since digital is where the viewership has shifted over the last few years.

"The big fight will happen for digital rights and not for TV rights. I don't think the TV rights value will be going much above the reserve price of Rs 18,000 crore. These stories of drop in viewership of IPL will not have any impact on the value that the property will garner from the upcoming auctions," he asserted.

I want Gaurav Kapoor in Cricket Live Show😍
He is doing very good show on Cricbuzz .
Gaurav + Harsha + Simon + Joy >>>> all other anchors on Cricbuzz + ESPNcricinfo + Star Sports combined. I love Gaurav especially because he has been anchoring IPL from the Extraaa Innings T20 days on Sony.

Side note: I always wondered how come Simon and Harsha are on Cricbuzz Live one day, and in the stadium the next, doing the post-match presentation. Do they have some rotating contract with Cricbuzz and BCCI that allows them to do both the roles simultaneously?

Flash: As per BARC week 16 ratings, Star Sports1 Hindi got top place with IPL viewership

Match commentatoy contract includes, toss, pitch report and award presentation along with in match roster.... Pre & post match analysis have seperate contract which Harsha has with Sony but not with Star thus he has seperate contract with Cricbuzz for matches telecast on Star.....
