I watch digitally via Disney+ Hotstar. So does many other people. But I do agree with the decline.
I would have guessed Digital is the reason if it was in 2019, where each on average matches were watched by 14-15 million people because of the Jio agreement. But now it's significantly Lower ie., around 5-6 million in average. So, broadcast should have benefitted..

But the matches are mostly one-sided... I myself haven't wathed around 9-10 matches fully because I got bored... Also, two teams with largest supporters sitting at the bottom of the table with each loosing 3 matches isn't helping either.

It will further decrease since it is a 10 team affair now
It will increase once big team starts winning..
CSK or MI is BIG brand of IPL so obviously when de will not perform good it will affect the overall TV ratings..otherwise
more team make tournament more competitive n more interesting ..

Top players reduced in each team due to increased Teams, So it will affect each Team's performance (like CSK & MI).

Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the global rights package, the cumulative base price for which is Rs 3 crore, has been divided into five regions with the base price for per game for a region being Rs 30 lakh. The regions that comprise the Rest of the World are Territory 1 to 5 with the first territory comprising Australia, New Zealand, Caribbean, Israel and South America. All these areas have been clubbed under a bracket which, rather strangely, is called Asia.

Territory 2 is Middle East and North America, Territory 3 consists of South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, Territory 4 is UK and rest of Europe and finally Territory 5 has a clubbing of the United States of America with Canada a few other countries together. It has been learned that a party can bid for one region, all regions or just a few regions.
