Another way to look at it is Ashwin getting injured just after 1 over in which he had taken 2 wickets.
Otherwise this match wouldn't have given reached till the super-over point and no1 would have cared about the 1 short run.

In that case Maxwell would have been in the game and Punjab would have won it quite easily. As you know how Ashwin always gets bashed by Maxwell even when he is struggling against all other bowlers.

No it wasn't. Bad call from the umpire.
In the replay it clearly showed that its wasn't a short run. That that bad call from umpire will probably cost kxip the match.

If it goes this way then it wont be wrong if we say that umpires are the ones who will decide who is gonna enter the Play Off's this season as well.
