Agree with you. But the umpire on the field was so confident didn't even bother letting the third umpire take a closer look when he knows how crucial even a single run is in the last 10-12 balls. Seriously even if not an umpiring error, but definitely the laziness of the umpire not to opt for the Third Umpire Option available..!BTW they should show the short run from a different angle.
Something like this happened last year. While side-on creates the illusion that batsman is in because of the round bottom of the bat, the other angle clearly shows he is outside.
