Rahul, Ashwin ruled out of IPL 2017; Rohit declared fit (Officially)

KL Rahul and Ravichandran Ashwin were ruled out of the Indian Premier League 2017 on Saturday (April 1), while Murali Vijay's participation is still under the cloud. The good news, however, comes for the Mumbai Indians with Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya being declared fit to play in the tenth edition of the tournament.

Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav , the BCCI further stated, will need two weeks to recuperate from their respective injuries.

Malinga, Gunaratne to miss MI's IPL 2017 opener

Lasith Malinga, the Mumbai Indians pacer, will miss his franchise's opening Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 game against Rising Pune Supergiant due to national duties, according to a TOI report on Saturday (April 1).

Malinga's Sri Lanka team-mate Asela Gunaratne, another member of the MI setup, will also miss the opener with Sri Lanka facing Bangladesh in a two-match Twenty20 International series that concludes on April 6, the same day when Mumbai face RPS.
