HCA-staff impasse threatens to take IPL away from Hyderabad
A strike by the staff of the Hyderabad Cricket Association over payment of two months worth of salary, and the continued impasse between them and the board is threatening to put a cloud over the city's chances of hosting IPL matches next month. With Sunrisers Hyderabad winning the title in 2016, the city is scheduled to host the opening fixture of the 10th edition on April 5, preceded by an opening ceremony. They've also been allotted the final of the tournament, to be played on May 21.
However, the failure of the cash-strapped board to disburse salaries has led over 120 employees, including groundsmen, to go on strike since the first week of March. According to reports, the seven home games of Sunrisers could be shifted to Raipur if the stalemate continues.

"There is every likelihood he will miss the IPL because he will need at least four to six weeks recovery.
